What's Inside

Aloe Vera Gel - A common herbal remedy for skin conditions. Aloe Vera Gel is documented to treat the following on your skin: burns, cuts, dry skin, cold sores and acne. (Cherney, 2019)

Alcohol/Ethanol - Alcohol is very effective in killing microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and viruses which is why it is a common ingredient in hand sanitisers. (Ethanol Uses, Benefits, and Chemical Safety Facts, n.d.). 

Tea Tree – Melaleuca alternifolia
Used for 100 years as a healing treatment (Leonard & Wilson, 2018) It is a popular oil for its antibacterial activity and ability to fight bacteria (Cox et al, 2001)

Red Thyme Essential Oil – Thymus vulgaris thujanol
Used when recovering from illness, it prevents infection and treats respiratory infections. (Battaglia, 2003) Red Thyme is extracted from a medicinal which makes the oil antiseptic, antifungal and bactericidal. (Essoil, 2016)

Cinnamon Essential Oil - Cinnamomum Zeylanicum 
The oils antibacterial properties make it a safe and effective alternative that can be used in cosmetics, toiletries and hospital setting disinfectants (Urbaniak et al., 2014).

Pimento Berry Essential Oil - Pimenta Officinalis 
Research shows that the oil has very strong antibacterial properties because of the components like carvacrol, cinnamic aldehyde, eugenol, thymol it has within it (Swamy, Akhtar and Sinniah, 2016).

Star anise – Illicium Verum 
The flavonoids and polyphenols of Anise Star oil are primarily responsible fr its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, (Aly, Sabry, Shaheen and Hathout, 2016) The oil is also known to have antiseptic properties and provides the skin with an effective protective layer against infections. How to Use 

Use a pea-sized amount and use the alcohol rubbing technique - around hands, wrists, fingers and thumbs until all the hand gel is all rubbed in. Follow up with the Antimicrobial Hand Cream to keep your hands soft and supple!
